Ignis operates as an independent consultancy.
We do not install fire protection systems or carry out remedial works. This ensures that our advice is impartial and based entirely on what is appropriate for the building and the risks involved.
Our role is to help clients understand fire safety requirements and provide clear guidance on the most appropriate solutions for their buildings.
Supporting Buildings Throughout Their Lifecycle
Fire safety does not begin and end with a single report.
Ignis supports clients throughout the lifecycle of a building, from design and construction through to occupation and ongoing management.
Our work includes developing fire safety strategies, conducting fire risk assessments, carrying out compartmentation surveys and fire door inspections, preparing technical specifications, supporting compliance inspections, and developing the documentation required for the Golden Thread of building safety information.
This approach ensures that fire safety is properly understood, documented, and maintained over time.
Fire safety can often appear complex, particularly where buildings have evolved over time or where documentation is incomplete.
Ignis focuses on simplifying this complexity by providing clear explanations, practical recommendations, and well structured documentation that supports safe building management.
Whether supporting the design of a new building or reviewing fire safety within an existing property, our aim is always the same: to provide clear, independent guidance that helps clients achieve safe and compliant buildings.
Ignis Safety Consultants maintains recognised professional memberships within the fire safety industry.
These affiliations ensure our consultancy work reflects current professional standards, guidance, and ongoing professional development.
Accreditations and professional memberships may include organisations such as:
Institution of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM)
Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
All training coordination, scheduling, and general communications are managed centrally through our operations team. This ensures consistent communication, efficient booking management, and clear client support from initial enquiry through to delivery.
Behind the scenes, this structure allows our consultants to focus on technical fire safety work while maintaining responsive and professional client service.
